Web Monitor gathers information about requests made by users to the Internet. Potentially this could result in a large amount of data being stored in the RM Auditor Database in a short space of time. The Web Monitor Configuration window allows you to define settings that can reduce the amount and type of data that is stored in the RM Auditor Database as the result of a request.
The Default Behaviour tab of the Web Monitor Configuration window allows you to define how to treat the file types that are recorded as the result of a request. You can treat all files in the same way or define individual rules to different file types.
Web Monitor has a set of default file types, but it is possible to define additional file types. Each default file type has a number of file extensions associated with it. It is possible to amend this list by adding or deleting file extensions. It is also possible to define the file extensions for any new file types that you create.
Additionally, you can specify Global Web Monitoring settings that define the type of information that will not be recorded.
